The Commonspace is excited to be co-presenting the MapleHood Rekkids Acoustic Showdown concert on Saturday, October 23 at Schlafly Bottleworks (7260 Southwest Ave.). If you haven't clued in yet to the many fine bands on the newish MapleHood Rekkids label, now's your chance to get hip at our first event since closing our public living room. Adam's Off Ox, Commichung, Fance and Shut Up & Drive will perform and renew your faith in an emerging, young local music scene. Oh, and you will rock.
It's only $5 to get in (free for card-carrying Friends of The Commonspace), doors open at 7 p.m., the show starts at 7:30, and all ages are welcome. Stop by early for dinner and beverages. (Schlafly has been very, very good to us — show them some love.) Maplewood represent!
