Art Opening: Route 66 Photographs by Sally Simpson

Simpson's turned her lens on some of the celebrated Mother Road's less-celebrated corners, from the creaky porches of forgotten general stores to classic cars nearly obscured by the encroaching return of nature (usually in the form of weedy vines). In color or stark black-and-white, this is a fresh look at a familiar subject. It's our contribution to the Grand Opening that celebrates the 2004-05 cultural season.
